Horizontal Sliders Glass
45/40 and 50 Impact Rated
Window Craftsmen's highest-performance side sliders are available either as impact products for code-defined
"wind-born debris areas" or as conventional windows for applications that demand a substantial design pressure
but not impact resistance.
The muscularity of the 45 series is evident in the beefy dimensions of the vent extrusions but does not
distract from the sparkling-bright, clutter-free ambiance these units bring to any room in which they
are installed.
While glazing options for the conventional window are numerous, the impact product utilizes laminated
glass consisting of an .090" thick layer of Saflex polyvinyl butyral interlayer sandwiched between two
lites of 3/16" annealed glass. Some designers specify impact glass for reasons beyond the safety issue,
since such glazing provides important energy and noise-reduction benefits as well.
Typical of Window Craftsmen's designs, all of the sliding vents are operable and easily removable for
cleaning. The optional heavy-duty screens are removable from either inside or outside the building.
